Tribes
Tribes are the people who live in forests. They eat raw food like raw vegetables.Tribes are of 7 types they are:
1.Araku
2.Gond
3.Chenchu
4.Bonda
5.Koya
6.Banjara
7.savara
let us discuss about some of the tribes
1.Araku Tribes:
- Araku valley is a hill station in visakhapatnam district of AP
- They perform a special dance called "Dhimsa"
- There is a tribal museum in the Araku valley which attracts the tourists
2.Gond Tribes:
- The names,habits,clothing,customs and other lifestyles of Adilabad tribes differ from other people
- They live in hilly regions of Adilabad district
- They construct small huts and live in the deep forests
- The gonds collect the fruits,vegetables and honey from the forest and eat them
- Nagoba fair is a very important fair of the gonds
3.Chenchus Tribes:
- Chenchus lives in Nallamala forests of AP and Telangana
- Mostly found in the districts of mahabubnagar,kurnool,guntur and prakasam
- They speak Chenchu language
- They depend on forests for their food
- They worship the forest as "Adavi Thalli"
- They collect fruits from forests and eat them as their food
4.Bonda Tribes:
- Bonda tribes live in the dense forests and hills of araku valley in odissa.They are also called as bondo and poroju
- In our country,the population of bonda tribe is only 12000
- Bonda tribes live away from the outside world and are quite unaware of money
- They rarely come out of the forest
- They speak "remo" language
- They do not allow new people to enter into their villages
