How Clouds Form from Evaporation
Clouds form as a result of the water cycle process, particularly during the evaporation stage. When the Sun's energy heats up bodies of water like lakes, rivers, and oceans, water molecules gain kinetic energy and evaporate into the atmosphere as water vapor.
As the warm, moist air rises into higher altitudes, it cools down. The cooling causes the water vapor to condense back into tiny water droplets or ice crystals around microscopic particles called cloud condensation nuclei. This process creates visible cloud formations in the sky.
Clouds are crucial for the water cycle, as they eventually release the accumulated moisture in the form of precipitation (rain, snow, etc.), completing the cycle.
